Here is the process of creating Tim's latest masterpiece:

Drawing completed.  Starting a turpentine wash.  I should have started the progression as I was drawing it in.

Blocking in the sky.

Starting to block in the landscape.

Now blocking in the water

Continuation of roughing in the painting.

Roughing in the figures and still need to finish the water and trees.

I didn’t like the skyline of trees coming out of the corner of the painting so I rounded the trees off to give it more of a curved flow.  The water is finished, but the olive trees still need to be completed.
